Why must Sun torture me? Do you think they enjoy it?
While playing with mod_perl & Apache it takes me several hours to realize that I'm having problems getting things up and running because THERE'S NO HTTP ENTRY IN /etc/services
You mother f@#$@!!$ a&*(@!@#. If it hadn't been for a similar experience with ssh, I probably wouldn't have even thought of this. Solaris has got to be the only *nix flavor that doesn't have http in there by default.
Despite resetting, I *still* can't seem to see the test web page. Ridiculous!!!!
UPDATE: - Ok, maybe it was only an hour of lost time. Still, it pissed me off. I also discovered that there must have been a bug in the Solaris package, because when I downloaded the latest source and built it myself, it worked "out of the box". Figures.
