AMC peripheral not found
AMC peripheral may be improperly installed
That's the error message I'm getting now under Windows 98 when I try to start the tuner. I didn't notice until today, and I suspect the culprit is ZoneAlarm Pro.
I immediately boot into BeOS, to discover it works fine there. Then I boot back into 98 and reinstall the ATI driver - no luck.
So, now what? My problem is that I've got my cable line split between the modem and the tuner, and I think ZoneAlarm is somehow blocking and/or filtering the signal such that the tuner is getting confused. I want to keep ZoneAlarm up and running - a cable modem without a firewall is just asking for trouble in Windoze - but I want my TV as well.
