I got my replacement DVD from Creative Labs yesterday! Hooray! After lots of fumbling with cables and guessing what the jumper setting was (I don't have the manual any more), I got my DVD re-installed yesterday.
With that finally back in place I think I'm gonna update the BIOS (gasp!) and install my new 40 gb 7200 rpm drive this weekend. Wish me luck!
