So,the ptkdb mailing list isn't dead after all. The author has come out and said that he's working on a commercial version of a Perl debugger, and that there will be no more work on ptkdb.
Bummer.
At least he answered the question I had regarding fork and ptkdb. Basically, it doesn't work - period. His commercial version is supposed to handle it, though.
