I received my Oracle SQL Tuning Pocket Reference (along with some other books), and I'm very glad I did. After reading it, I've come away with two feelings:
1) Wow - there are a lot of things I didn't know. I should be able to use some of this stuff right away.
2) Oracle is too fucking complicated.
