Three interesting emails in my inbox this morning. All from the same person.
The first two went to the nms support mailing list.
From: XXXXXXX@aol.com To: nms-cgi-support@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Nms-cgi-support] XXXXX XXXXXXXXX Date: Sat, 9 Nov 2002 23:32:10 EST Whats wrong with his site. I spend all that time writing an email and click send , STUPID ERRORS POP UP !!!!!. AGAIN !!!!! I will talk to him tomorrow . Im tired of this. You are just a bunch of Idiots calling yourselves experts !
I've removed the subject as it identifies the site having the problems (tho' the full version is available on the list archive). The second one was better.
From: XXXXXXX@aol.com To: nms-cgi-support@lists.sourceforge.net Subject: [Nms-cgi-support] XXXXXXXX & XXXXX Date: Sun, 10 Nov 2002 03:15:39 EST WHY CANT I E-MAIL OUR SITE ? Threats of legal action always cheer me up first thing in the morning. The third one just came to me and refers to the "Web scripts written by experts" slogan on the nms webpage.
From: XXXXXXX@aol.com Date: Sun, 10 Nov 2002 03:23:16 EST Subject: XXXXX XXXXXXXX To: davorg@users.sourceforge.net IF YOU WANT TO TELL THE TRUTH YOUR SLOGAN SHOULD SAY "WEB SCRIPTS SCRIBBLED BY PRESCHOOLERS" ,BUT YOU PROBABLY WILL REMAIN A LIAR.
If actually managed to track down the site in question and they seem to be using our formmail script. I can't work out what's wrong yet as I get a timeout error each time I try to access the page.
Of course, with emails like that flying about I'm not exactly inclined to put very much effort into helping them.
Perhaps the nms formmail doesn't like file paths resembling/us3r/BIN/sendmail!!!!!!!!! d00d!!!11
