My bank sends me an SMS message each time my balance changes by more than ã200. Recently (for obvious reasons) those changes have been negative more often than they've been positive so the sound of the "message arriving" beep is not something I've been looking forward to.
This morning, however, when it beeped, there was a nice surprise waiting for me. My first salary payment had gone into the bank. It was only half a month (as I joined the company halfway thru June) but it's certainly better than nothing.
It almost makes having a job seem worthwhile :)
