CPANTS Success

It's taken a bit longer than I hoped, but I have finally beaten the CPANTS game. From about an hour ago all of my CPAN modules score 100% and I'm therefore (along with a number of other people) top of the CPANTS league.

Of course, they'll probably introduce some new measures soon and I'll have to start all over again.

Now, given my awesome CPANTS score, who wants to come on one of my Perl courses?

Moving goalposts

At one point I had beaten the game, then they moved the goal posts on me and I have to catch up. Damn those fiendish kwalitee assessors...!

How is demand for Perl/Unix training these days? Buoyant I hope.

Welcome to the group of people...

... that will basically do anything they are told.

Or as I like to call them, the CPANTS cargo cult :)

I like to think I'm gently subverting it all. Any process that gives such high scores to Symbol::Approx::Sub or Tie::Hash::Cannabinol can't be taken at all seriously :-)

Good work

I've been meaning to whip up a script to maximally subvert CPANTS, so I can run it on my modules to get perfect kwalitee automatically, without adding useless things like POD coverage. But then again, kwalitee doesn't show on search.cpan.org, so it doesn't matter.

And that...

...is why we strongly discourage Kwalitee scores from going onto search.cpan.org.
