One momentous event at the London Perl Workshop (or, more accurately, in the pub afterwards) was the announcement of a new London.pm leader.
Our previous leader, Simon Wistow, is off to make his fortune in the colonies so he has handed over the ceremonial stuffed camel to Greg McCarroll. Greg, of course, needs no introduction as he has been deeply involved with London.pm and YAPC::Europe for a long time.
So many congratulations and good luck to Greg. And many thanks to Simon for the excellent work he's put in as our leader over the last few years.
