Inspired by my success with "CGI and Perl For The World Wide Web", I decided to contact authors of some other beginners books that promote bad Perl programming practices. I emailed Jacqueline Hamilton, the author of "CGI Programming 101" and also Matt Wright and Craig Patchett, the co-authors of "The CGI/Perl Cookbook". In my email I asked why they didn't use strict/-w/CGI.pm and offered my help as a technical reviewer on the news edition.
Jacqueline responded very quickly and seemed interested in the idea. I'm just going off to buy a copy of her book so that I can do an in-depth review of it.
Wonder if I'll ever hear from Matt Wright or Craig Patchett.
