Computer Mice

The london.pm server was down this morning because it had been invaded by mice. One alive and one dead. Oh, and "a lot of mouse poo".

So remember children, when removing cards from a PC _always_ replace the blanking plates :)

Roaches too...

I believe someone once wrote into What Hi*Fi? after their VHS player stopped loading properly. Apparently a large roach had taken up residence inside, and the unit was jammed with bits of dead roach.

I don't know about roaches, but mice and rats apparently like to chew the plastic insulation on cables, and cause a measurable number of house fires every year world wide.

And rabbits too. (I still have chewed cables to prove it.)

Actually now I think about it, a friend has a kitten that took a liking to Logitec cables, and ate her way through several mouse and keyboard cables. She didn't get a big enough shock to put her off the first time, as I gather she did it more than once...

History has known cats to eat through more than Logitec cables :)
