I have no idea why it's called thus, but XML::Essex appears to be overly cool, and it does look like Barrie "SAX Machine" Slaymaker has struck again. The only thing that wasn't simple (state maintenance) in SAX now is. It's even trivial.
Perl and XML might not have XML Schema processing, but it does have all the cool stuff. Damn, I miss IRC.
