Today I saw the first use of a genuine Unicode smiley character in the wild, on a mailing list. People that post mail in UTF-8 are already rare enough (especially to mailing lists), I didn't think we'd start seeing one of ☺ or ☻ (you may not see those two chars here, depending on your browser and fonts) that early.
I'm still not sure whether this is good or very evil. I guess that as long as there no blink character in the next Unicode version...
