Nokia has launched MMS phones on the market already. Wow. In case you don't know MMS is like SMS only multimedia. Now I'm not much into phones, but I use SMS as my primary means of communication (before email, irc, im, and of course voice calls which I always hated). MMS ought to be a very nice thing to have when people start being equiped.
What I'd love to know is what they use on the wire. MMS can contain things like SVG that may be bandwidth intensive. I'm thus very curious as to how they optimize the compression, if it's just silly gzip or something more powerful. Information much welcome :)
