If you remember the lyrics to that song, you'll understand that I've received and signed the contract for the O'Reilly book that I'll be writing with my eternal partner in crime Antoine: Programming SVG.
You might be one of those people that thinks that writing a book is cool. Honestly, I'm still one of them too, having written only two plays, both put to stage but of course none published (and neither under much of an oppressing schedule).
However my good friends Kip (who hasn't written a journal entry in waaaay too long -- nudge, nudge), Geoff, and Barrie (who doesn't even have a single journal entry -- nudge, nudge) have almost convinced me of my upcoming unavoidable death at the hands of my (otherwise charming) editor. In fact it would seem as if charming has nothing to do with it, the simple fact of having to write all those pages for seemingly ever sufficing to get you to deeply hate anyone (ok, I may be slightly overdoing their exaggeration in trying to convince us to not get into this ;-).
In any case, and against all sage advice, I'm deadly excited!!!
My non-book productivity rose scarily high when I was supposed to be writing, too. You're on the right track!
