Just a quick note to say that I'm alive and ok :) The connection at Knowscape eventually went down and I've had to move my boxes home and get a connection there. Unfortunately the connection is *very* dysfunctional at the moment, and I can only manage to stay online so long, and I don't have access to a lot of things that one can normally get from a connection :( Also, some security features that I'd setup on my server are preventing me from ssh'ing into it and from sending mail (some mail does occasionally get through -- which must be a security bug somewhere -- but most doesn't).
Anyway, I'd better finish typing this before I lose my net access again. I intend to be back up and roughly operational this week, as soon as possible. Thanks to all those that have sent mails to check on me, it really warms my heart while I bang on tech support people and DHCP clients. I'll get back to you as soon as all that bloody mesh of wires in my room start carrying information the way it should.
