It looks like perl 5.7.3 is rather badly broken for the XML space. XML::Parser and XML::SAX::PurePerl both dump core during their tests which leaves one with only XML::LibXML for XML parsing :-/

But it looks like the bug has been isolated, and that a fix is forthcoming. I am also relieved to see that Acme::Dahut builds right.

I had problems with XML::Parser, as well as with Template::Toolkit (both with and without Stash::XS) and LWP (the latter failing only one test, with HTTP::Date, I think).
