Tests II

Reflecting further on my dislike of test-writing, I think I spotted a cultural element that helps me alergise them thus. My basic learning is in philosophy. In philosophy, you don't test. You throw your ideas at other people and see if they disagree. You let the next generation (or some farther still) try to implement your ideas and by the time it all goes wrong -- as it always does -- you're dead. You use the fact that people have made scientific discoveries using derivatives of your epistemology as a proof you were right, blissfully ignoring the fact that they would have made the discovery anyway because scientists only start looking into epistemology once they've lost their edge and ceased to discover anything.

The question now is, should I or should I not append "CAVEAT: semio-stylistic irradiated code" to all my released modules?
