Those of you familiar with dahuts may be aware of what happens when two dahuts -- or as it is, one left dahut and one right dahut -- circling the same mountain at the same altitude arrive face to face: they block there, trying to push one another back, unable to move up or down, or to circle back. This is often referred to as the Entwined Dahut Syndrome, and forest guards remedy it by shouting "DAAAAAHUUUUUT!!!!" at the animals so that they fall and may hopefully start circling again at different altitudes.
This is pretty much what has happened in the thread of comments following my post on LotR.
A less polite name that has been suggested for it is the Stubborn Bastards Deadlock (no offense pudge, you can be the stubborn and I the bastard if you want ;-) but for the sake of the Dahut's Higher Circle imagery, I will prefer to call it the Dahut Syndrome.
Readers with a sense of irony might appreciate the fact that a thread entitled "Feminine Presence" may be construed in fine to have turned into a (mild-mannered, and as far as I'm concerned, enjoyable) cockfight.
The forest guard in this case will probably be the xmas break. Merry christmas pudge and all !
