It looks like something is rotten in ActiveState land. I installed their latest 5.8 build for windows today, and threw a simple script at it. I got one of those lovely "something went very wrong do you want to send information to Microsoft" popups. Ooops. I then proceeded to send a bug report, but the site only half worked and the mail bounced. Re-oops. So I grabbed their 5.6.1 build and reinstalled. During the process it told me that an application was using files that it needed to update, and pointed at Mozilla. I went "Huh?". Thankfully there was an ignore button.
Then at the end it asked me to reboot. "Aaaaaaaah". I refuse of course, out of principle.
Now I'm getting the exact same MS popup telling me perl is horribly borken again. I guess I'll have to reboot.
