Without children it is possible to get up and go whenever you want. Play with pool toys at Wal*Mart at three in the morning? No problem. Run down the street to get Ice Cream? No problem.
With children everything must be planned. If not planned, it will take three times longer than it did nine months ago. Tonight I want to take my wife out for dinner. In order to do that we have to secure a baby sitter for the evening or take our kid with us. I love my girl, but she doesn't help a relaxing dinner out on Friday night very well.
This is my life, and it is good. Honest. :-) So, in order to do this thing, I'll be working on Saturday to make op for time used to find a sitter (if it's possible) and get out and back at a reasonable hour to take over our child again.
Either that or I'll work tonight when we get back, maybe then I can find out how Chris' New Year went.
