Movable Type Groupie

I'm a "switcher". That's right, not only do I use Mac OS X but I've decided to keep a Journal using movable type. It's part of my human outreach program at caseywest.com. This is where I show that I'm a human, a living human, to the rest of the Internet. A journal, a picture and movie gallery, my bookmarks... looks like I've turned into a regular AOL user with MS Frontpage! Except that I have none of those things.

I can't decide what to do with this Journal, I'm thinking it can miror my MT journal. Can't be that difficult, after all, the programming interface seems pretty good.

You should also know by now that Pittsburgh Perl Mongers are alive and well with our first meeting schedule for robot fighting! In march I'm thinking laser tag but I have to talk it over with the rest of the group.

pretty easy

I do it the other way round, my MT site is a mirror of my use.perl.journal.

The script that does the work is here. It might be a good starting point.

As you're doing it the other way, you could use a TrackBack script to initiate the mirroring.

Thanks for the starting point. Let me tell you, nothing is standardized in these blogging interfaces. It's all a sham! :-)

Seriously though, going back the other way took quite a bit of man-handling.
