CamelBones

Never in my life have I built a GUI app so quickly. I've used all sorts of Perl GUI stuff, Win32::GUI, Gtk, Tk, and now CamelBones.

I wrote a quick app to post to my use Perl Journal. Of course, *then* I discovered JournalX. Besides, mind doesn't work right because I've upgraded my Perl to 5.8.0. I knew that would bite me sooner or later.

Now I wait for my Help Forum message on the SF project to be answered: How do I Compile the Framework?

Otherwise, really really cool!

Casey, you might want to join the macosx@perl.org list. We're a fairly helpful bunch, and Sherm is known to hang out there and answer the occasional CB query.

As Theory mentioned, the macosx@perl list seems to be the place for camelbones questions, although there do seem to be a few users around here.

As for compiling, you just need the source, which comes as a Project Builder project. The instructions that Sherm gave on the list seem fairly simple. If you want to compile the framework for redistribution in the application bundle, you need to also follow these instructions.

Forgot to mention...

If you do recompile the framework as redistributable, you should then just be able to open up the JournalX app bundle and replace the current CB framework.
