Well, I went and submitted my talks for YAPC last night. When I realized the deadline had not passed, and that YAPC was not scheduled right next to my wedding anniversary, I decided to submit.
After I had said I was going to submit... boojum kept hounding me so I put all my recent talk ideas down in email. So I proposed 5 talks for YAPC, 4 at 20 minutes and 1 at 45. It will be interesting to see if I speak this year.
My boss requires involvement of some kind and speaking is, of course, one of the best forms of involvement. Course.. so are throwing kick butt parties on the Company.. still looking for someone with suite space to help me out at TPC. :-)
