I spent the night away talking to the DynDNS guy. First and foremost, I let him know that Net::DNS fell of the CPAN and he got his other guy (the maintainer) to try getting it up ASAP.
Second, I learned how it worked, basically. I also got to see some of the data they deal with and some charts of z3kR37 stuff.
My favourite part was giving him a kick butt idea for his business cards and auditing some of their code. It's really well written and most of my suggestions were about efficient variable declarations and making DBI calls work faster over large amounts of data.
In any case, it kicks butt dude.
