On Monday I made it through my first Linux kernel compilation and instalation. I needed to compile a kernel with the -ac patches to get the full width console support for my Picturebook. It went off without a hitch, and now my console is 128x30. I'm not so afraid of the big bad kernel any longer. I just don't understand why I waited so long.
