Last Wednesday the Pittsburgh Perl Mongers had a movie night and book give-away. Only five people showed, about half our normal numbers, but they missed out. I was planning to bring one book, and I expected a few others might bring one as well. David Hand brought over 40 books! I went home with 14 books. We watched a classic, War Games, and that was a good time as well.
My in-hand reading list has exploded. Even so, I did something "hip" and "cool" last Friday, created an Amazon.com Wish List. My name or email address seems to work fine for searching. My friends and family say I'm difficult to buy presents for, so I hope this will remedy the problem.
