The city of Pittsburgh has taken the low budget approach to the ongoing problem of traffic. They have recognized there is a problem and took a step to fix it. That step was social engineering. Rather than build more roads, better public transportation, or incentives to car pool they put up a sign. A sign that acknowledges there is a traffic problem and informs the commuters that they are in traffic, and it is heavy. Thank you, democratically elected leaders, for your sign. Without it, I might not know I was is grid-lock.
