I had breakfast in an outdoor table with Barbie, Joey and Larry.
Brunch in the center, with Barbie, Joey, Josh, Uri, Liz, Heather and others.
Then I went with Barbie to the Sears Tower, which was fantastic. I'd need a huge entry just to describe that.
Afterwards we went to see the Water Tower, and then we headed back to the IIT.
Once there, we went to the early registration site. I found out that the speakers didn't have to wait in line and headed straight to the registration desk, passing Dave Rolski in the process:
David: Hey! Why is he going first?
Me: Because I'm a speaker!
David: I'm a speaker too!
Me: Er... But I'm speaking three times! :-)
After that we went to the arrival dinner at Goose Island; I'm not sure how many Perl hackers we had there, but certainly a lot.
I met a bunch of people so far (including Bill Odom, Ann Barcomb, Joey Kelly, David Romano and Liz Cortell), and I've also seen a lot of familiar faces.
Well, and now I'm off to bed.
I can't wait for tomorrow :-)
