From time to time I see the "Software Update" window on the iBook.
Isn't there an option to tell it "Don't you ever again show me updates for this application"?
I mean... I don't use iCal, I don't use iSight, I don't use Pages, I don't synchronize my phone with the laptop and I don't need an iPod updater, as I don't even have an iPod!
So... why giving me a list with 10 items I have to read when it could give me a list with just one?
thats a big problem

"from time to time" i see you posting this type of posts, and it's nice
:-)
Remember, OS X does have a FAKE "KISS" concept.
Cog, your question shouldnt be "why this updates" but "why is this software instaled in first place" or even "Why do i use a MAC when i do not use my microwaves at home".
Are you some kind of iMan using iPanties going to the iGym playing iSquash !?
:-D (priv joke)
Go ahaed take a byte...
$pkg_deinstall -rf
/var/db/pkg/*
There is nothing forbiden about it

In the Software Update window, select the update that you do not want. Press delete and it goes away.

Er... There is no delete key on a Mac and there is no delete button on the app.
But, meanwhile, somebody reminded me "hey, there's a menu", and there it was, an option to remove it!
