If all goes well, Acme::CreatingCPANModules should hit CPAN in a couple of hours.
This distribution has examples, my slides for my "And now we'll create a CPAN module" talk at LPW, my intended speech at that talk (available as POD with notes of when to change the slide, so that everybody not going to the workshop can see it too) and a couple of screenshots of PAUSE.
Now, the tgz is over 600K.

Things in that distribution might change before I get to the do the talk, as I haven't given it a second read yet.
BTW, don't think that that's all there is to the talk!
