Hello again :-)
Yeah, yeah, you know the drill :-)
This is report #19 and here are some details:
The bags are ready
Well, at least most of them are. We have over 200 bags ready,
we'll just prepare a few more, just to be sure.
Taxis in Portugal
We've added a small page to the Wiki regarding Taxis in
Portugal.
If you have any comments on that page (specifically, if you
know something we don't), tell us.
Getting from the top of the mountain to the University (and back again, of course)
For those of you having to come back down from the mountain
(Bom Jesus) and back up everyday, we added thisto the Wiki,
which explains one of the possible ways of coming down.
You should try it at least once O:-)
Try to keep your whole body inside the vehicle, please :-\
Wireless at the venue
Yep, there's wireless. I don't have the details ATM, so
they'll either be announceed at the beginning or somebody will
announce them here.
Behind the scenes action:
- Tasks have been assigned to the volunteers, so everyone's
busy now
- We're trying to solve the legal issues regarding the
recording of talks
- We moved the fridge to the venue
- Sound and video is being tested (I think)
- Perl is great for badges
And that's it for now.
As always, the organizers can be reached at yapc@perl-hackers.net
Kind regards,
Jose and Alberto
