Care to guess how they translated the title of "I know what you did last Summer" to Portuguese?

"Sei o que fizestes no Verão passado." (please check out the link)

The only problem here is... there is no "fizestes" in Portuguese. The correct word is "fizeste", and "fizestes" is a term commonly used by someone with little culture... usually someone who didn't even attend school...

Do I make myself clear?

I think this is just another case of translating into Brazilian Portuguese instead of European Portuguese. "Fizestes" is the form for the 2nd person (plural) in Brazil. Even though no one uses it, with exceptions of people from South - but they usually pronounce 'fizeste'. (Brazilians are losing their latin as well as Frenchs have done a long time ago.)

Speaking of extra 's' , that would be "the French", not "Frenchs".
