Today, on the radio: Woman on the radio: "And the PSP [Public Security Police] is even willing to perform a zeal strike." [Cut to the interview (already recorded) with a representative of the PSP] [...] PSP representative: "The police is tired and they deserve a pause!" Interviewer: "Is there the possibility of a zeal strike?" PSP representative: "No, no, no, those are your words, not mine! I'm just saying we're tired and we deserve a pause, that's all! And let the government understand it the way they want to."

So... what's going on, after all?

A couple of months ago, on TV: Woman on the TV: "António Vitorino says he will not be a candidate to the presidency of the Portuguese republic." [Cut to the interview (already recorded) with António Vitorino] [...] Interviewer: "Are you considering running for the presidency?" António Vitorino: "Please, please... I've just started my vacations, I don't want to discuss those issues right now, thank you." [António turns and walks away, Interviewer turns to the camera and speaks] Interviewer: "So here it is, António Vitorino does not put aside the possibility of running for the presidency."

Er... Come on... Are these guys for real? Are they doing it on purpose? Are they going to the same bar as the translators I mentioned before? Man...
