Let's see how I'm doing...

First, note that trying to enter a building ruled by Japanese people, while having no means of identification, isn't quite the easiest thing to do... but I managed.

I don't have a watch, so I got here early (before the bosses, that is). This means I had the time to check on a few things...

And what did I discover? I discovered that xcdroast, when recording a directory into a cd, omits files started with a dot... What does this mean? It means I'm going to miss, at the very least, my following (some of them more than others):

.urlview
.mail_aliases
.workinghours
.bashrc
.mailcap
.procmail
.muttrc
.bash_profile
.bash_history
.forward
.fetchmail
.vimrc
.vim/
.Xmodmap
.upcoming_events/

Great... just great...

On second thought...

Maybe I'm just plain dumb :-| I might have copied the files from the cd with something like `cp /mnt/cdrom/* . -R`

That would make more sense...

Gotta find the cd again and test that :-| I'm almost sure that was it :-|

Yep, Exactly.

I'm going to blame this one on jetlag, OK? O:-)

(good thing I brought the cds with me...)
