perl repository

It has never been so easy to get the source of Perl, with development history. I have managed to fix a few other vcp bugs and mirrored the perl repository from Perforce at activestate with svk.

Web interface:

http://svn.clkao.org/svnweb/perl/log/p4-trunk/ http://svn.clkao.org/svnweb/perl/log/p4-5.8/

Repository at svn://svn.clkao.org/perl/p4-trunk/

They will be kept synced daily. I'll see if perl.org is interested in hosting it once the new svk/svn::mirror are released.

Damn You HFS+

This is very cool, but unfortunately due to the presence of directories named both Unicode and unicode in a single directory you can't actually check out the repository on a case insensitive filesystem, like Mac OS X.

I wonder if some kind of magic could be introduced to fold such directories together during the conversion process...

Hmmm sounds like a mail should go to Apple,

Dear Apple,
I have located a SERIOUS bug in your OS X, I am surprised that the bug has not been fixed earlier. Apparently it has problem telling the difference between uppercase and lowercase letters, which we both know are two different things. I have included an ASCII table for your reference: http://www.asciitable.com/

Thanks!

Sounds to me like you should use UFS...
