Alright, as promised earlier this week a new version of CPANXR is now installed on the public demo.

Highlights in this release are:

  • Visualization of files using GraphViz. An example can be seen here
  • Search page is now actually there and working (no case-insensitive search yet tho)
  • Better display of search and symbol results
  • Probablly some more stuff I can't remember now

I have fun with it, so should you!

Really Flipping Cool

That's really awesome, with the graphs and the cross-referenceing.

Would someone be able to use those tools in a for corporate ( aka private )
corpus of perl code?

Thanks!

Yes, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't be able to be used as a corporate tool. The code isn't released to CPAN yet, but will be as soon as I write some installation instructions. It is however ment to be used with the packaging scheme of CPAN module, but could probablly be tweaked to handle applications too.

I'm thinking of using it at my work eventually, when it also knows how to handle Java and (hrmpf) Python.
