I just committed my thousandth checkin to Parrot. That's slightly more than one commit every twenty seven and a half hours for the past three years and two months.
Many of those are patches submitted by other people (and occasionally I even spell their names correctly in the commit logs), so it's not as if you can claim that I've written almost four percent of Parrot. The numbers aren't normalized for size of commit or number of lines changed or anything interesting like that, either.
Of further note is that 11% of my commits occurred last month. 17% have occurred in February and March 2008. 2% were in the past two days.
This makes me the eighth highest commit-y contributor to Parrot, surpassing all but one pumpking and all three architects. No points for guessing the top contributor, who uncoincidentally happens to be the pumpking in my sights for, oh, 2012.
Sometimes numbers are fun, though I suppose lots of things that aren't normally fun are more fun when normal people would be sleeping instead.
