SDL-y Tutorialage

A persistent problem in software libraries is the lack of good documentation. Well-written man pages and documentation tend to have example snippets for the most common questions and operations. As usual, handling four out of five questions is a good goal.

I've been writing tutorials for SDL Perl. It's interesting to see how much I remember of graphics programming (having done very little in the past few years). It's also interesting to think "what should the reader know now?" to choose tutorial subjects and scopes.

This exercises the same editing muscles as my day job in a much different context. Hopefully I can finish the fourth tutorial and put up the entire set for download soon. They're available from the website above for now and comments are definitely welcome. It's surprising how much hand-waving I've needed in some spots and how little I've needed in others.
