Okay. I'm done fiddling for the night. I already think this code can serve as the basis for the Tk interface's back-end, now that I've realized how divergent the Journal module was from the Tk app's needs.
This thing looks more possible at times like these.
Tomorrow I should have some time to code. Tonight I'll probably bring the Jabber book to bed, along with Learning XML in case I have to look something up.
Even if I'm not cranking out code every damn day, I don't have to slack off completely in the learning department.
Speaking of which, I've had word from one of the professors that there may be an internship available at one of the local schools in the fall. Nothing firm, your mileage may vary, read the fine print, yada yada yada. If something shakes out of the rumormill, I'll surely post it.
