Now that I have a basic understanding of each thing that's going into this wonderful concoction called (tentatively) HyperNews. (Mainly because it sounded snappy. I really don't have a good name for it, but I suspect I don't need one.)
I'm just glad that I figured out precisely where the divisions between content, layout, and algorithm exist. Before that I was floundering, unable to walk through the maze for lack of an arrow pointing at the "Start" entrance.
Finally getting used to MySQL. The interface (and I don't mean DBI, I mean the actual query engine) is so unfamiliar to me right now that I need a reference beside me for the simplest things. That'll pass, though.
Overloading is fine, of course, just make sure your parameters or return type are different...

Thank you for the info.:) The name's pretty irrelevant; I just wanted something that sounded half decent. I'll pick something else, JIC I stick this thing somewhere that a search engine can get to it...
