Unfortunately, the whole conference is mostly about education and the attempt in the state of Maine to provide laptop computers to essentially every student in the fourth grade or somesuch.
Now, given my stance on K-12 education (on one foot: Get rid of the entire damn thing and build something new) this isn't promising. One lone voice going "Burn the administrators!" in a room full of people just talking about how precious the children are isn't going to further debate. :\
I'll probably at least see Papert's talk, though.
