Big hurdle, that.
WinCVS is perhaps not the best way to learn how to CVS in general, but all the same, I'm missing something important here. I get the notion of 'checking out' and 'committing'. What I don't quite understand, I guess, is how to set all that up the first time. I don't have anything to check out or commit, and I can't seem to make CVS set it up.
I'm giving CVS until my next eyedrop dosage and then I'm just going to work in PFE with copious backing up.
I get the feeling the guy working on Sphereal has kind of a dim view of me. I'm a Win-luser, I don't know what CVS is, and I'm unfamiliar with PHP. Hopefully he won't decide I'm a complete waste of time before I can get a little educated...and if he does, that's okay too. There's only a few thousand projects on Sourceforge. :) No love lost.
Quick Addendum: Well, that wasn't fun. Cleared up a few errors only to end up with ones I don't understand. Time to go take my drops and scare up an iFAQ*.
