I spoke with IT formally today.
I should qualify that. I spoke with them. It wasn't formal speech. It was more like, "Yeah, this is what it's supposed to do..."
Once I explained it properly, the person I spoke with -- a Dan -- advised me that it might be a useful interim tool, something for the next 4-10 months. (He said 4. My contact in collections says 10 or more. I make no guesses as to accuracy on either party's side, so I say 4-10.)
I'm going to get a sandbox, and I'm going to get to work on code for my job a little bit. This, as they say, is Excellent News. :)
