Safari (not that Safari) takes a little getting used to. Much of the reading I've done in the past has been, well, done in locations that don't require a computer. I wasn't really prepared for the sensation of sitting still while reading a publication.
It's a vast improvement. I've already picked 8 books at this point -- two on game programming, Security Warrior, Zeldman's book, a book on community design, and a small bestiary -- the polar bear, the titi, and the howler monkey.
I'm holding off for a little bit on filling the other two slots until I'm 100% sure what books I want to fill those slots with.
Currently, I'm several chapters into two of the books, and just starting three others. Firefox is aiding and abetting this with tabbed browsing, although it results in a very strange reading process -- I load a section of book 1, tab to book 2 (which loaded previously). Read a section of book 2, tab to book 3, etc., so essentially it feels as though I'm reading an enormous tome with several books haphazardly shuffled together. When I get to parts of one book that I find intensive, I tend to forget that the other tabs are there, though.
