What would be really interesting would be if you could base some stats on FOAF info in Orkut, to find people who tend to "hub" communities together. (Like, if you've got a big pile of X people who all tend to be connected and all tend to the same communities, and a big pile of Y people who are all connected to each other and tend to a different set of communities, we'd be looking for people Z who tend to have friends from both sets but do not necessarily tend to the communities of either.) Connectors.
No API, though. :(
