I thought it bad enough that the one German news article I picked from NewsIsFree was about language translation. Worse was after I'd Babelfished it and surfed away to one of the links, LPI, and started reading that page. It was incomprehensible, and I started wondering precisely what sort of machine translation they were advocating...
...when I noticed that the URL was still Babelfished. It was a translation of a page in English using a German->English filter, about translation, and it was only there because I couldn't understand German in the first place.
I'm still not sure how to describe what just happened properly.
