If you have a Mac and have dabbled at all with Mail.app, try the threaded view for emails from any list you might be on. I have rules to send list email to specific folders, and this really helps to sort them for reading. IMHO, it's a really nice implementation.
In Mail.app, View > Organize By Thread.
