Well I seem to have volunteered to talk for an indeterminate time on A/B testing at LA.pm on Thursday next week.
I've never given a presentation like this before. And my first one will basically be a math talk directed towards programmers? I could have picked an easier topic!
Ah well. I've long thought that the techniques of A/B testing weren't widely enough understood. This will be my chance to correct that. I'll just have to find somewhere to put my slides on when I'm done. As for presentation software, S5 looks like it does what I want.

I really like spod5 by Philipe Bruhat to convert POD to S5. Placing images is a bit unwieldly, but if you want exact image placement, you can just include the raw HTML to display an image at a given position.
The fun thing with S5 is that you can get automatic (bad) translations for talks using any of the web translation services, as the whole slideshow is just one HTML page.

That looks cool, but I won't be using it. One of my requirements is that I be able to display a fairly tricky 4x4 table fairly easily. I know how to draw it in HTML. I don't in POD.:-) Re:spod5 (Re: A/B Testing)

Aah - the nice thing is that you can embed the HTML into the POD and have the best of the two worlds:

<table>
<tr>...</tr>
<tr>...</tr>
<tr>...</tr>
</table>... of course, you could also go for the good old ASCII graphics

True, that.
But given how much is already written in HTML, it would be more work to rewrite in POD than to continue forward. So I'll continue forward.:-)
