Why I Hate Working On Windows

I get to use Windows at the moment. And, at moments like these, I realize why I like my Mac so much.

On the Mac, Copy is Apple-C and Paste is Apple-V. No other operating system depends on an Apple key, so there is no confusion.

On Windows, sometimes Copy is Control-C, but in a terminal program with a unix shell, Control-C is an interrupt. In PINE, Control-C is cancel, and Control-V is something else. Thus, terminal programs tend to use other meta-key combinations, and everything gets confused. Is it the Alt key, or those goofy Insert, Delete, Home keys along with the Shift key?

If I wanted that much keyboard pain and suffering, I would use emacs.

I think it is time to download Mozilla so I can have my tabs back, too. Tabs are cool---they should be the Time Magazine Feature of the Year.
